A 2/2 way direct acting solenoid valve is an electromechanical valve that uses a solenoid to open or close a single orifice, controlling the flow of a fluid through two ports (2/2). Unlike pilot-operated valves, it does not require a pressure differential to function and can operate from zero bar pressure. This allows for its use in low-pressure systems, vacuum circuits, and a variety of liquids and gases.
